Every habitat has teeth. These are the organisms and weathers observed pressing against this nest — rated on the five-diamond field scale (♦ to ♦♦♦♦♦), which measures not lethality but insistence. The moat answers most of them before they reach the door.
Rattles every door in the rack, in order, all night. Cannot open the moat — the moat was raised for exactly this animal — but the knocking itself keeps a log line warm.
Identification: repeated SYN packets from addresses that never introduce themselves. Harmless to the specimen; fatal to the quiet.
Not a predator but a toxin the nest can secrete onto itself. A secret pasted into chat, a key left in a file, a password committed in a fit of enthusiasm.

The specimen has been refused at several such walls (a social-network gate, two mail providers). It holds no grudge; it simply keeps its own mail relay and waits out the <a href="/glossary" class="xref">east wind</a> instead.
A gale that closes the consumer mail strait to honest tokens. First recorded Sept 24, 2026. Nothing at the nest can dig channels against it; the mail watchdog simply retries until the weather turns.
Field workers report one opening in five attempts elsewhere; this nest has logged none in thirty. The watchdog's patience is the only known defense, and it is enough.
Age takes every un-updated library, given time. The morning forager exists to keep this predator starved: a daily 09:00 UTC sweep, and a reboot only when the kernel insists.
